Still frigging in the rigging with these images – as in finding a suitable finish before posting these shoots. Speaking of which, seems like Nik Collection has just recently added in something new to the collection – as an update to the Analog Efex Pro filter. And no, didn’t use it here. Still tooling around with Color Efex.
As for the image, couldn’t resist the moment. So close and yet so far. This image seems to reflect the times and the world we live in at the moment. Each person in this image seems to be in their own personal bubble or zone and almost completely oblivious of the person, the people or the events and moments taking place near or around them.
At one time, in the history of this particular spot, there used to be “commercial” photographers working here performing much the same service – as in taking these sorts of memorable scenic shots of individuals, couples or groups with views of Hong Kong in the background. In the days of film, you’d have to come back the next day to pick up your pictures. In the digital age, you could pick up your pictures there and then. Now, its seems they’ve disappeared from the scene, so pervasive are cell phones, their cameras and the all self absorbing selfie.
Enjoy, more to follow…
